Working Through a Heatwave in Cornwall: A Cooler Place to Focus

Waterside Co-Working

When a heatwave arrives, working from home can become difficult very quickly. Sun-facing rooms, warm laptops and a full day of calls can make it harder to concentrate — especially when you are trying to meet a deadline or welcome a client online.

A cooler place to focus

At Waterside Co-Working in Penryn, we have portable air conditioning in the workspace to help keep things comfortable on hot days. It is a simple detail, but it makes a real difference when you need a calmer, cooler place to focus.

Our day desks and hot desks are set up for productive work, with a monitor, USB docking station, 1 Gbps full-fibre broadband and free on-site parking. There is also a kitchen, tea and coffee, and a friendly professional atmosphere when working at home is not the best fit.

Flexible summer working

Whether you are escaping a warm home office for one day or looking for a regular place to work through the summer, you can choose a flexible option that suits your schedule. A one-off day desk is £20, while a 5 Day Pass is £80 for five visits to use whenever you need them. Monthly hot-desk plans start from £60 per month. Prices are exclusive of VAT.

Heat can affect more than comfort. It can make long video calls, focused writing and detailed project work feel much more demanding. Moving to a dedicated workspace gives you a change of scene, reliable connectivity and the equipment you need without having to set up around the kitchen table.

Waterside is at Waterside Court on Falmouth Road in Penryn, just five minutes from Falmouth, with free on-site parking. If the weather is making your usual workspace hard to use, come in for a desk and get your day back on track.

You can view our services and pricing, explore the workspace, or contact us to arrange a visit.
